i used john wort and didn't see dramatic changes regarding SAD, only with stress in general. however, it might not have even worked regarding general anxiety/depression as taking john wort and the end of uni for the year coincided.

the side effects of each of the above medications are awful. they just seem to be making some aspects associated with SAD worse.

are there any medications that do not cause: upset stomach, having trouble sleeping, diarrhea, dry mouth, feeling unusually sleepy or tired, tremor, indigestion, increase of sweating, feeling agitated, decreased appetite, nervousness, nausea, problem with inhalation, fatigue and yawning ?

because most of these side effects are the some of the aspects of SAD that i wish to be gone!

I take Prozac for Social Anxiety Disorder. I have taken it for several years and it seems to work well. Do others take Prozac for this disorder?

Never thought of that Lexapro can decreased Libido, well we dont have to worry about this for there are products that can increase libido you can visit this site to get some unbiased review about some libido products.

Remeron (mirtazapine) for Depression: Although I can't take tricyclics, I can take Remeron. I have treatment resistant depression and this is the only anti-depressant I can tolerate (I have been on every type of anti-depressant except Wellbutrin). I don't know why it works so well on me, but it saved my life. My weight had gotten down to 112lbs (I'm 5'7) and I looked like a corpse. I've been on it for a good 8 years or so and it still helps me sleep. The hunger side effect subsided for the most part…a good thing because I gained too much weight back at first, then leveled out at 130lbs. Some of my family have tried it and it knocks them out for the night and next day. Also, they've complained of a “hangover feeling” after they wake up. Many doctors told me it's a good medicine.

BuSpar (buspirone) for Anxiety: I was given this in the 1980's for panic attacks and was not taking any benzodiazepines at all with it. I'm glad it has worked so well for others, but for me it was like a very bad trip. I was literally bouncing from wall to wall, couldn't walk or see clearly, even hallucinating. I had a severe reaction to it, but I am extremely sensitive to tricyclics and all SSRI's except Remeron. If you're taking it for the first time, might be good to have another person around just in case.

I have been taking Ambien for about 2 years and I love it. I was in the Navy and now I work a 12 hour night shift so I usually can't sleep or if I fall asleep I can't stay asleep long enough. I have had a few nights I do things and don't remember but overall it is wonderful.
